GMB Consulting in the € 150 million green loan financing of the Basalt solar portfolio

GMB Consulting on green loan financing transaction for € 150 million Girasole Project of Basat Infrastructure Partners II GP Limited investment fund.

GMB Consulting provided the investment fund managed by Basalt Infrastructure Partners II GP Limited (“Basalt”) on green loan of solar portfolio financing located across different Italian regions for a total amount of over €150 million.

This financing involved 66 plants, located across different Italian regions, and ovr 40 companies with an installed capacity of over 61 MW as part of the solar portfolio and a financing with a total value of € 137 million.

The refinancing involved Intesa Sanpaolo, Bayerische Landesbank, Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, and Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria S.A. as mandated lead arrangers; Intesa Sanpaolo was involved as agent too.

GMB Consulting, with the team coordinated by Gian Marco Bardelli, Emanuela Bolla and Matteo Gambini, managed the prepayment process of the loan contracts and coordinated all hedging financial issues.

For the financing transaction Basalt was assisted by Ashurst, on the legal due diligence, ValeCap, as financial advisor, Roedl, on the legal, fiscal, and corporate due diligence, and DLA Piper on fiscal and legal aspects.
